Mildred Elizabeth Ralphs
Mildred Elizabeth Ralphs, age 100, of Clayton, CA passed away peacefully on December 7th surrounded by loving family. She was born on July 18th, 1917 in Puyallup, WA to parents Halvor Elseth and Freda (Gustafson) Elseth. She married her husband of 34 years, Samuel William Ralphs, on January 1st, 1939, who preceded her in death in 1973. She was primarily a devoted homemaker who had three children: son Russell, who preceded her in death in 2015, and is survived by son Ronald, and daughter Joanne.
Affectionately known to all as “Millie”, she was an avid quilter known most for her beautiful baby quilts and cloth dolls. She was also a world traveler, and in most recent years, especially loved going on cruises with her daughter and caretaker, Joanne. Millie thoroughly enjoyed her daily dose of coffee and chocolate, which along with playing bingo regularly, she swore was her secret to living a long and happy life.
Millie is also survived by her many grandchildren: Lynette, Laurie, Linda, Eric, Russell, Joshua, Gregory, Seth, Leah, Cassandra, Jesse, and Jeremy. Her legacy will also live on through her numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and beloved extended family members.
Memorial services are being held privately by her family at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette, CA.
