Phyllis passed away peacefully with the love and support of her family at her bedside.
Phyllis was born and raised in Holland, Michigan to parents, Raymond and Frieda Hertz. They moved to Oakland, California when she was 14, where she attended Castlemont High School. There she met her new best friend and future sister-in-law, Dorothea (Dot) Frost. After graduation she went to work at American Trust Bank in Oakland. In 1954, she first met Art Frost after his return from military service. They were married shortly thereafter on March 19, 1955. Phyllis and Art recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
They moved to Rancho Murieta in 1985 where they built their retirement home. Phyllis was a founding member of the Rancho Murieta Community Church and served as their Assistant Treasurer for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing golf with the RMCC Ladies Niners Golf Club and being an active member of the Rancho Murieta Women’s Club.
She is survived by her husband, Art Frost, daughter Melissa Leviant and husband, Dr. Curtis Leviant and granddaughters, Erin and Carly Leviant.
Internment at Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette, California. A private family service was held.
