Kera Ia Own Lo, aged 19, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Concord, CA.
Kera was born October 1, 1996 in Merced, CA. She was raised in Wichita, KS with her maternal family the majority of her life. Most recently, she lived in Concord, CA where she attended Diablo Valley College and worked at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse. Kera enjoyed being with family and friends. She was kind and generous. She was determined to make her way in the world. Kera loved people and she devoted her time to children. She learned what was important to them, and she often had a child in her arms to comfort. She described herself as an adventurer and moved back to California to be closer to her mother. She loved music and singing. One could usually find her singing or playing tunes on the piano. She sang for family and friends and her music brought good cheer to those that heard it. Kera was talented and she could achieve anything she put her mind to. She was an amazing person.
She is survived by her mother, Maylia Yang; maternal grandfather, Xay Yang; maternal grandmother; Zua Yang; her sister, Audrey Lo; her sister, Madelyn Yang; her father, Michael Chue Lo; and her paternal grandfather, Ying Lo; paternal grandmother, Chee Yang; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and people who loved her.
